Description
The Pipe Friction Apparatus is specifically crafted to enable students to assess friction losses in pipes for both laminar and turbulent flows. In the examination of laminar flow, a raised head tank serves as the water source, whereas turbulent flow utilizes the Hydraulics Bench with hoses equipped with rapid-action hose coupling. Students can manipulate the water flow rate by adjusting the flow regulator valve. Both laminar and turbulent flows can utilize the laboratory’s main water supply. The test section is linked to manometers through pressure tappings for comprehensive measurement and analysis.
